EN World Review – Tianxia: Blood, Silk & Jade by Vigilance Press

Tianxia coverGreetings and Well Met, Fellow Gamers!

Time really flies when you’re having fun, and this week has zoomed by at a record pace.  This past weekend saw the second session of my new SciFi-Cyberpunk-Space-Opera campaign using the Savage Worlds Deluxe rules, and so far it’s clear the campaign is off to a great start.  The players are seriously getting into their characters’ roles now, and it appears that the campaign will likely somewhat a cross between Neuromancer and James Bond, but in all done in outer space.  I’m finding the SWD rules to be quite freeing as a Gamemaster, and I think I’m going to have to start a blog soon discussing how the campaign is proceeding along.

I also was offered the officer position of Rector for my WildStar MMO guild, which is part recruiter and part public relations role for the guild, Pax Mirus.  Really, I like the idea of getting new players into the guild and telling people about the game, which so far has been an awesome gaming experience!  Our guild is actually part of the Pax Gaming organization, which is a huge gathering place for gamers from a ton of different MMOs and online games.  So if you’re shopping for a guild in ToR, WoW, Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, WildStar, or any other MMO, please take a look at Pax Gaming - it’s a very impressive site!

Also, I promised to mention a new Kickstarter for an RPG product for Pathfinder – The Complete Guide to the Commoner.  It looks like a really amusing role-playing supplement and you can check out the Kickstarter here.

But to get back to the matter at hand… last night I posted a new review on EN World in my regular weekly column about a new martial arts setting for FATE CORE system called Tianxia: Blood, Silk and somthing by Vigilance Press.  It’s a very complete setting, sort of a reimagined Imperial China as depicted in wuxia films like Crouching Tiger-Hidden Dragon and Hero!

For all the details about this FATE CORE Wuxia setting, just click on the link below and fly over to EN World and check out my review:

Tianxia: Blood, Silk & Jade – Vigilance Press’ Complete Wuxia Setting for FATE CORE RPG

It’s really a very complete setting, but I think there is still plenty that Vigilance Press can create for this Wuxia world.  And even for GMs who might want to run a different game system, I think there is a ton of cool content that could be adapted.  For fans of the genre, Tianxia: Blood, Silk & Jade is a strong RPG campaign setting to really bring high flying Wuxia martial arts to life!

So until next review… I wish you Happy Gaming!
