Neuroglyph Games Only a Pen is Mightier Catch it on the Rise Dust shaken from a Book

The 1st Official Neuroglyph Games Product Release – A Curse at the Old Inn!

An intense anticipation itself transforms possibility into reality; our desires being often but precursors of the things which we are capable of performing.” ~ Samuel Smiles

Editor’s Note: For everyone that previously tried to download A Curse at the Old Inn, there was an issue with how the distribution site was reading the file. That has now been resolved, and the module should be downloadable now! We apologize about any frustration or inconvenience you may have had trying to check out our 1st Product.

Well I’ve been up half the night, but it’s all for a good cause…

The First Release of a Neuroglyph Games product has finally arrived – A Curse at the Old Inn!
ACOICover
As you can well imagine, I’m very excited to be able to publish my first adventure module, and I hope that you, the Readers, will consider downloading a copy.  And there is really no excuse for not checking out A Curse at the Old Inn, especially since it happens to be absolutely FREE.

So you’re probably wondering why would I offer my first published product free?

Well, mainly for the exposure, plain and simple.  Although many you who have read my blogs and reviews have a good idea about my writing style, not everyone has, and I wanted to show the D&D 4e Community the type of writing I do for my own D&D Campaigns.

It’s been a dream of mine since I was quite young to actually write games, or more specifically, to write for the creators of D&D –back then, TSR, but which is now, of course, Wizards of the Coast.  Ever since I started playing D&D back in the day, I wanted to write adventures and products for the game I enjoyed so much.  But I always tended to second guessed myself, and although I’ve been successfully running a D&D campaign just about every year since I began to play, I never considered it “realistic” that I’d be allowed to write for a gaming company.

But don’t ask me what changed to make me stop second guessing myself, and get serious about writing.  I can’t point to any one thing in my life that precipitated a change of attitude, but I can tell you that it’s been a long time coming.  Perhaps writing for the Neuroglyph Games blogsite has helped my attitude a bit, and certainly it’s been an amazing experience, which I hope to continue doing for a long time to come.

But then again, maybe some people just take more time to realize what they really want out of life.

Well I have rambled on quite long enough, which you can chalk up to a bit of sleep deprivation and a whole lot of excitement.

A Curse at the Old Inn is now available on the RPGNow and DriveThruRPG sites for free download, and I look forward to hearing feedback regarding my first foray into the 4e GSL publishing market.  If you have any comments regarding A Curse at the Old Inn, please feel free to post them here – I’m anxious to hear how other adventuring bands fared against the Curse!

And I am already hard at work on a sequel to A Curse at the Old Inn, which I hope to release in mid-February, so stay tuned!

So until next blog… I wish you Happy Gaming!

Congrats! I know just how much exhausting work it can be, and how hard it is to finish that first product.

By the way, have you thought about putting it up on Scribd? I’ve put several of my free products there, and gotten quite a lot of downloads.

  2. Thank you, I appreciate the sentiments.

And it’s very liberating feeling to finally have that first product out there, and I’m really looking forward to releasing my next project soon! No I haven’t looked into Scribd before, but I’ll definitely take a look now.
